AMIM(A MUST IN MIAMI)! I was looking for a unique dining experience in Miami for our crew of 8 and I felt like Joe DiMaggio having a day when it was all over! I thought we wouldn't be able to go as we had some in our party under 21(as stated on the website over 21 was preferred). I took a chance and spoke to who I thought was the manager( boy, was I mistaken!) and I explained we had a crew of 18+ who have eaten everywhere. Nicky,( Chef's wife) heard me out and agreed to open on a Monday just for us! She couldn't have been more lovely and we spoke often about how Chef wants to do what he wants to make so there was no confusion about substitutions. Thank GOD! We pulled up to a very cool mural painted by a local artist( who was formerly homeless) and weren't even sure they open. We walked in an were instantly in love. The decor is amazing mix of hand crafted things that you would find in that creative family couple you have in your family(if you are lucky enough!) I fell in absolute love with all the personalized pieces of detail that make you feel like you are in the middle of your grandmother's house(mine ALWAYS had specialized gifts) and our place settings had them and it made my heart sing! I didn't know we were getting dinner and a show. Our hostess, Nicky, was so personable and some hot tamale! Much love girl!! Chef Franco is an amazing storyteller and extraordinarily passionate about what he does. It's beyond food, He is trying to reshape how you think, love and eat food. It's a psychological experiment they are conducting. Do yourself a favor and walk in with an open mind, a willing palate and a loving heart. My son who never eats seafood ate 10 that night and loved every bite. The wine was like Italy...drink the house wine and the port for dessert with an amazing dessert. 2 days later we are all still talking about what a highlight that night was!! We want our first passports!!(anyone who reads this just ask!)

This is an experience everyone should try. The chef's creations are just exquisite. Each bite is an "O" in your mouth. And Nikki now pairing with amazing cocktails it's another level. And their house wine.....delicious!!! I can not say enough about the quality of the food and how amazing the service is at House of Food P0rn. Reservation required and everything is personalized. We have been there many times and each time is unique and amazing!

Amazing! Unique, delicious, one of a kind experience! Tonight my wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary and couldn't have asked for a better dining experience! Host Nikki and Chef Franco made us feel right at home. The intimate setting, outstanding original food, drinks, and incredible personalized service by them both made this our most special anniversary dinner ever. Great experience! Chef Franco and Host Niki were fabulous! I’ve never had better service at a restaurant. What wonderful people. They were so thoughtful in every aspect of the event. Must do in Miami. I think the chef could even expand his menu to be small bites rather than be confined to rolls. He is most creative with flavors and presentation!

My husband and I went last night for a date night. I was researching unique dining experiences and found House of Food Porn. I was very impressed by all of the reviews I had read so I knew that I HAD to go with my hubby as we are foodies and are always looking for fun, unique places. HOFP did not disappoint! We arrived at the small gem in the middle of Little Haiti and were greeted by the beautiful Nicole. Her warm and energetic personality made us feel right at home. We immediately felt like we went over a friend's house for dinner. We had the 6 course tasting which included wine and dessert. The wine was Nicole's creation and was a lovely blend of Cab and Merlot. We loved it so much we ordered two more bottles! When Chef Franco came out to greet us, we felt the same vibrant, warm energy we felt with Nicole. Conversation was so easy with them and I felt like I had known them for years. The "ShuShi" (he'll explain that) was out of control!! After the first roll, I was already excited to come back again and talking to my husband about all the family and friends we wanted to bring! Each roll had an explosion of unique flavors that left us mind blown. THIS IS NOT YOUR ORDINARY SUSHI. Only 2-3 rolls even had fish in it! These rolls were very inventive and inspired. One of the rolls reminded my husband of his Cuban grandmother's cooking. When food can ignite a heartfelt memory, it's truly special. Each one was so different and not what we'd expect. The anticipation and excitement of not knowing what you're about to put in your mouth, but trusting that it's going to be delicious was kind of exhilarating. It really did enhance the entire experience! The tasting ended with a delicious dessert also made by chef Franco and a dessert drink made by the lovely Nicole. After the tasting, we enjoyed wine with the guests from the second tasting. We were never forced to leave, rather encouraged to stay and hang out (again, feeling like I'm at a friend's house for dinner). I truly cannot wait to return again and "wow" my friends and family with this amazing find!! Thanks again Chef Franco and Nicole!!!!

An Experience That Truly Has No Price! I recently had the great pleasure of celebrating my birthday at The House of Food Porn with two very special people. I have to say, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but when I saw the video of a woman starting to get emotional when describing it, I knew I had to go. The reservation process was straightforward and Nicky (Chef Frank’s wife) made it quite easy.

I must say that Nicky is the conductor of this magical creation symphony. The greeting you receive from Nicky when you arrive is like walking in through the front door of your family’s home on Thanksgiving. She is very welcoming and immediately really makes you feel at home. The setting is very intimate and really resembles a family meal type of environment. Nicky continues throughout the entire experience with great conversations and descriptions of the cocktails being provided.

Now let’s talk about Chef Frank and his amazing creations! Using the word food to describe the journey in tastes we experienced is a galactic understatement. We did the 11 course meal. The size of the creations seem small, but they are packed with proteins and flavors that will make your tongue dance a little salsa!! I would recommend to everyone the 11 course meal because it is a flavorful journey of a lifetime. Not to give anything away, but the final two courses are worth the price of the entire experience themselves.

The wine was delicious and never ending. The champagne cocktails were amazing and unique, each in their own way. I had never had infused water before, but it was the perfect compliment to prepare yourself in between courses.

Overall, I will never look at dining out again the same way. We had great conversations with the other 5 people in the room, so that definitely adds to the experience. A 5 star rating of excellent does not appropriately rate what you will experience at The House of Food Porn. Watch the video of the woman getting emotional during her description and follow your heart to The House of Food Porn…I guarantee you will never regret it and you will have experienced something that you will remember for life!!

Wonderful time Had a wonderful 11 course tasting last night, Nicky and Chef Franco make you feel right at home and kept the evening moving right along and Natalia made sure your water and wine glasses never reached half empty. Chef came out after each course and left us guessing what the primary and secondary ingredients were - delicious but I can say I got more than a few right.

I brought my husband here as a surprise to celebrate his birthday and we were not disappointed at all! Chef and Nikki made us feel right at home and the "shushi" was incredible! We did a four course tasting menu and every course was more delicious than the one before. We highly recommend HOFP for anyone looking for a unique and romantic date or just a good time with good food and great people!

BEST Birthday EVER! A group of our closest friends went to House of Food Porn for my birthday celebration last night and one word comes to mind, “EXTRAORDINARY!” Yes...from the decor, the ambience, the gorgeous hostess, Nicky, the extremely talented Chef Franco Antonio, and the SHUSHI!!! Omgggg what a food lover’s adventure this was! Even the pickiest eaters loved everything! I cannot rave enough about what an incredible restaurant this is. I will never forget my 46th birthday!! Thank you Chef Franco and Nicky! You are just filled with great vibes and so much fun to be with. Truly a MUST for anyone who hasn’t been here. Worth every penny and then some! Love you guys!

Lots of Fun! What a cool experience! Chef Franki and Nikki serve sushi in the most unconventional format. They like to borrow cuisines from other countries and create "shushi", with an added twist. The atmosphere was very intimate as only one other couple was dining with us at the same time. Would absolutely recommend and look forward to coming back!

Wonderful experience, a delightful twist on sushi. Truly a remarkable experience when it comes to fine dining. The four course meal is more than enough, but if you want a little bit more of an adventure the sixth course would be a great choice, too.

Amazing Experience I’d be lying if I wasn’t a little nervous upon pulling up, that all changed once we walked in the door. Unreal experience coupled with incredible service. This was my fathers 85th birthday and they went out of their way to make sure this dinner was memorable. Highly recommend, food was out of this world. Truly a unique a special experience.

Wonderful Evening After leaving the House of Food Porn, I needed to write two good friends and thank them for a wonderful, fun dinner at their home. As we entered, we were welcomed by name at the front door and warmly invited in by Nicky, the chef’s vivacious partner. We were escorted to our seats with place cards around a three-sided bar that sits only 16 guests. We were then introduced to our fellow dinners. Then the fun began. Frank, the talented chef, prepared each dish behind a counter at the end of the room where we were sitting, and when each course was ready, he would personally serve each as it was prepared. We signed up for the 8-course tasting menu. Definitely the way to go. Each of the prepared rolls were a complex combination of either pork, lamb beef or fish, with a myriad of different elements, each wrapped in an outer shell of pastry, prosciutto, yucca, or who knows what else. After a few bites, Frank would ask us to guess the ingredients, and he would then tell us what was actually inside. A wonderful full body red wine was poured throughout the evening, in addition to a delicious layered cocktail. By the time we were ready to leave, my husband and I were full, but also very happy that we had the opportunity to experience such a fun, unique event.

I was IMPRESSED! OMG it was so nice and funny! Chef is 100% pro from culinary and hospitality point of view! Super friendly staff made us feel welcomed and appreciated! Definitely made my husband’s and mine evening! Very unique! Food is delicious and it was super exciting to eat chef’s creations! Definitely will be back with friends and family to share this experience! Highly recommend!

I travel the world and visit restaurants that are well known as well as small and unique... I search for restaurants that have food that surprises me .. great ingredients, unpretentious and welcoming vibe.. House of Food Porn delivers and exceeds on all fronts. No menu which is a treat .. Chef Frank was our guide to amazing flavors from exceptional ingredients perfectly paired delivering extreme yumminess..
Nicky his partner welcomed us and introduced us to the concepts and told us we were in our home.. and it truly felt like we were with family.
The entire night was magical.. We will return and bring friends...

Great night I read the reviews on this restaurant and had a hard time believing that everyone was so happy..... then we ate there last night.....believe every review you have read, Frank and Niki were fabulous, welcoming informative and fun, the atmosphere of the restaurant is really unique and fun the way they set it up, the food was imaginitive and unbelievably tasty, there was fun interaction with the other guest, my only complaint I think they served us to much wine 😳 lol!!!!! A wonderful experience!!! (And delicious food) After reading all the great reviews, we decided to try them out on my brothers birthday. From the time we walked in, to the last bite, we felt very welcomed and appreciated! Nikki and Chef Franco have themselves a little Gem here. We opted for the 6 course meal and LOVED every bit of it! The wine was tasty and the desert was to die for ( Brownie, homemade ice cream and a guava purée) yummmmm!! Don’t hesitate..... just do it. You’ll be glad you did 🙂 We can’t recommend it enough.

Couldn't have been more perfect !! I secretly chose this place to celebrate with my fiancé after a surprise proposal while in Miami on vacation. One of the best choices I've ever made. I'd been in contact with Nicky over email and she was VERY happy to be in on this big conspiracy. Ha-ha. You'd think they were family she (Nicky) was so excited when we got there. Our seats were personalized and prepared perfectly to celebrate this very special occasion. The food was beyond amazing. Mind-blowing !! Was an experience we will never forget. An Evening Not To Be Missed A night at House of Food Porn is so much more than an unbelievably good meal (although it is certainly that). Chef Franco and Nicky put together an unforgettable evening in every respect.

It starts as soon as you walk in the door and are greeted by Nicky who wraps every guest with her welcoming warmth and begins actively building connections with all so that, by the time they leave, they do so as friends, not just clients. And throughout that time, from walking in the door at 7pm to being hugged on the way out around 10pm, Nicky and Chef Franco have poured their passion and creativity into making every aspect fun and memorable.

Obviously, the food is the star – but its not simply outstanding food. Its playful, surprising and truly unique. You are not going to get the best beef wellington you’ve ever had or a new exciting take on a classic dish. Instead, you get course after course of dishes you can’t name and could never have imagined and will struggle to describe to your friends. But every one will be absolutely delicious with a wide range of flavors and textures and temperatures dancing in your mouth.

And they make it a game of it – never telling you what is in each course until after you eat it and have guessed at the components based on what you see and taste. That process makes it fun, but it also actively engages your taste buds to a level that wouldn’t happen if you were just enjoying and not trying to unpack and identify each element. And, in addition to making it fun, they make it absolutely beautiful – the plating and presentations add an extra element to the evening.

I should also note that everything described above in regard to the food applies equally to the drinks. You see a similar devotion to creativity and to the layering of flavors and artistry in presentation in every drink. Nicky is less religious about making you taste before she reveals the secrets of her libations, but your taste buds get no less of a work out seeking out the hints of each carefully selected ingredient.

The only negative I can say about the place is it is somewhat of a tease. You will desperate want to taste the creations again and both Chef Franco and Nicky are generous in sharing fairly detailed descriptions of how they create each and every masterpiece. But it is all so unique and so perfectly executed that you will never be able to come close to getting your fix trying to recreate it on your own. So, we’ll have to satisfy our new addiction with another reservation soon …

I actually had to join trip advisor tonight just to leave a review for this place. Frank and Nicky are the perfect team for a fantastic evening, the food is an eclectic mix of Cuban/Asian which may sound strange but my god Frank makes it work. Our evening started by being met by Nicky at the door and greeted by name, it was almost like we were old friends, she is a wonderful hostess and you are truly made to feel welcome and at home. Before we ate Frank gave us a brief history of his journey in the catering industry to this point. We had the 8 course menu and after each course we had a little explanation as to what was in the dish and the process behind it,( which was fab). There was only 6 of us in the restaurant for the 8.30 seating which made the experience feel much more like a ‘family meal’ than a night at a restaurant, we all chatted and laughed the evening away along with Nicky and Frank. If you get the chance and you’re a food lover this is a must visit. I will definitely be going back again, considering we live 4000 miles away that’s a fair recommendation!!

The best unique dining experience We came here last night for my husband‘s birthday. We did the 8 course meal with 8 of our friends and OH MY GOD was it worth it! Chef Franco is a culinary genius ! The Shushi rolls were spectacular and like nothing you’ve tried before! And the drink pairings are just as amazing! The wine was flowing and everyone was just blown away! The best part of the experience though is the customer service and attention to detail. Nicky is THE Best! She made it so special for my hubby and our group! I won’t tell you the details because you need to GO and experience this! It’s a MUST!!

The Best!! This was the best dining experience I’ve had in my life! I decided to book the 8 course tasting menu for my husband and myself. We left stuffed! I figured that if we were going to go, we were going to get the full experience.

Chef Franco is truly a talented individual! His creations are mind blowing and like a flavor explosion in your mouth. I’ve never experienced anything like the food he prepared for us. So so so delicious! I already want to go back!

Nicky has a very vibrant personality! She made us feel at home and like old friends from the moment she opened the door for us. Nicky and her helper ( sorry, I can’t recall her name) never let our water or wine glasses get less than half full. Definitely they best service I’ve ever experienced anywhere!!

The only negative is the location. But don’t let that keep you away.

If you want interesting, delicious food in a warm, inviting setting, topped off by having an absolutely delightful EXPERIENCE, this is the place for you! Nicole extended a gracious welcome the moment the door opened and continued to impress us with her friendliness and warmth throughout our visit, a real gift to make you feel like you're already friends. The food was unique and unlike anything I've had before. It was fun having Chef Franco quiz us on what we thought we might be tasting, sometimes spot on, other times with a "wow, wasn't expecting that"! Loved our two delicious cocktails, and their house wine paired great with the food. Since this really is an intimate experience, getting to talk to the other guests felt like we'd all been invited to an exclusive dinner party. I keep thinking this was really Dining as Art. I'm still smiling...

Treated like royalty at a private celebration Chef Frank and Nicky are an absolute dream team. Nicky, serves up the best service in Miami and Chef Frank's creations called "shushi" are divine. The food is just the right amount, the cost is appropriate, and the atmosphere/ambiance gives you the feeling of royalty. It was fun, and everyone in our party (12 PPL) told me later it was the best food, party, service that they can remember in a long time and most will come back. I told Chef Frank and Nicky that we would be back on an almost monthly basis because we enjoy them and their food so much. Definitely one of the best spots in Miami. I can't say enough with this review except to go there and experience it yourself, you will not be dissapointed.

The Dining Experience You’ll Never Forget I made a reservation for me and my fiancé and I mentioned it was to celebrate her birthday. These guys took it and ran. They made us feel like the life of the party and it made the night so special. More than that, Chef Franco’s Shushi rolls are one of a kind. You won’t find food like this anywhere else, and he personally takes you on the journey through each course to make sense of what you’re eating. It’s not just a dinner, it’s a whole dining experience that you will never forget!

Enchanted Evening at House of Food Porn From the minute we were greeted at the door to the moment we were escorted to our car the attentiveness to our needs was unapparelled. Chef Franco was masterful with his creations and wine pairings and Nikki was equally good as our server. We booked an exclusive event which made our evening very private and romantic. The flourless chocolate cake was a real rich treat. We will be back to be spoiled again soon. Well done!

WOW!! What a different experience. What an experience they make you feel like you are in their living room. The way the chef and Nicky treat you like family. The Chef explains all his creations and WOW!! I can't say nothing bad but WOW. You must come an experience this food and atmosphere.

Simply the BEST !!!! Don't judge this book by it's cover (or neighborhood). Yes it is hard to find but once you arrive - you are treated like royalty. The service is 2nd to none. The friendliest crew in Miami by far.
The food experience is something that we've never experienced. We'd taken many food tours and had numerous "foodie" experiences but this was truly unique and amazing.

Great concept of Cuban-Sushi delicious food! Since the moment you walk into the restaurant you feel the difference. Six course meal of a peculiar way of preparing sushi on a semi private environment. You can enjoy the show of assembling your meal in front of you by the chef-owner and assistance of his partner as a hostess making you feel like friends in a get together. Do not let the outside look deceive you..its worth it.!

My AMAZING birthday celebration 🎂 If you're looking for a foodgasm, you have found your place. It's an experience like no other. There's no menu to peruse but you will not be disappointed by what Chef Franco will serve. He is a wizard in the kitchen. He will leave your palate craving the next course. Their home-made no hangover wine is .
The ambiance that they have created will make you feel like you're sitting in your besties dining room.
The staff/family is hands down the best we've encountered. They are filling your desires before you are aware that you need it.
Their attention to details is extraordinary. The gift for the ladies when you enter the door. The place cards with your name on it. The jar with nuts. The infused water to help clean your palate. Down to the red toilet paper in the bathroom Just to name a few... I wouldn't want to ruin your experience.
It's an experience that you will want to share with your friends.
