The International Experience There are a lot of places to eat and you can find good food almost anywhere you are willing to spend the money. What's different and what I seek, which I found in the House of Food Porn is the dining experience that combines customized, creative and out of the box dishes inspired by the costumer and created through the international implementation process of a true artist, Chef Frank Blanco. Whenever I come to MIami I make sure to treat myself and any friends along for the trip to the gastronomic magical adventure of eating at the House of Food Porn. I also have always found it very affordable. Only one life, embrace the pleasures that money can buy!

Love this place!!! Love love love this small restaurant that makes you feel you're coming home to a friend's house to dine. They only open with reservation, so it is super private and so cozy. I came on Valentine's Day after making a reservation a month out. Parking is easy in the backyard. Upon entering, you'll find a very quaint little space that is full of candles in a romantic ambiance. It felt like entering a friend's house. Everyone was super friendly. Chef the owner personally welcomed me and introduced himself, brought me to my table and even pulled out the seat for me. It was so sweet. Felt right at home. I think that says so much about a restaurant and it brings a good restaurant to a great one.

The menu is omikase, which means Chef serves what he is in the mood for. We ordered a 6 course menu including wine and dessert for an unbeatable price. The concept is serving rolls stuffed with cooked items featuring flavors from the whole globe.

We tried the Swedish roll with salmon, we had the Mexican seared Ahi tuna roll with Taco flakes, we had the Caribbean roll and the Turkey Blast with Mac & Cheese, as well as the Cuban Buena Noche roll. For dessert we had the French Roll with little Maccaron bites in Cream Cheese topped with Mango-Raspberry foam. Geez DELICIOUS!!! Our host Nicky was awesome, she was attentive and entertained us the whole evening, she took so many pictures of us in front of the HOUSE OF FOOD PORN wall, thank you for making our visit so memorable!!!

We were fortunate enough to hear about HoFP on Groupon. Let me tell you, Chef Franco is one-of-a kind. His restaurant is charming and very intimate with the dim lighting, candles and overall setup. We had a private dining experience and he made it one to never forget. Every dish was phenomenal and unique. Best of all he was very pleasurable! We recommended to several of our friends who have visited him and enjoyed the experience just as much. Definitely worth a visit, you won't be disappointed!

House of Food Porn This was hands down one of the most memorable and unique dining experiences of my life. Everything about this concept, the chef and place is unique and phenomenal. A culinary journey that I wasn’t expecting. Top 3 restaurants I have ever been to in my entire life.

Best kitchen ever Excellent and sophisticated cuban fusion food... served in several courses all created by the chef daily. Deserve to be tested. Outstanding experience... needs to make reservation to coming into the kitchen due the limited seats available per shift... incredible!!!

Amazing dining experience This was truly a one of a kind dining experience. It was worth every penny!!!! The owners made us feel like family. I'm a very detail oriented person and they went above and beyond. I don't want to give too much away, you just have to go. We will DEFINITELY be back

I found the restaurant on the PBS show check please a while ago. When I made the reservation I mentioned it was for a birthday. They went above and beyond but the treated everyone in the restaurant exactly the same, like we were family. The food was wonderful and different. The atmosphere was terrific!
We had a great time! Highly recommend for a new experience.

Best “Shushi” Experience This was honestly one of the best sushi experiences ever. I come from a family of foodies, we have owned restaurants for almost 30 years and this was hands down a phenomenal experience. The couple, Nicky and Chef (or like I liked to call him Shushi Frank) were so welcoming into the restaurant. It was set up beautifully, romantic with rose petals, candles, great music. We were all their for not only a new experience but for the love of food.

8 courses, lots of wine and delicious dessert. I’d highly recommend this small business to everyone. The outside area could be questionable but I over looked that immediately as the inside was amazing. We will definitely be back!

Treated like royalty at a private celebration Chef Frank and Nicky are an absolute dream team. Nicky, serves up the best service in Miami and Chef Frank's creations called "shushi" are divine. The food is just the right amount, the cost is appropriate, and the atmosphere/ambiance gives you the feeling of royalty. It was fun, and everyone in our party (12 PPL) told me later it was the best food, party, service that they can remember in a long time and most will come back. I told Chef Frank and Nicky that we would be back on an almost monthly basis because we enjoy them and their food so much. Definitely one of the best spots in Miami. I can't say enough with this review except to go there and experience it yourself, you will not be dissapointed.

Great Food Adventure in a Surprising Location Amazing food by the chef and his hostess, the two owners of this surprising find in an area that some might find “sketchy”. This outing is not for people who are picky eaters or need to know what they are eating or have to see a menu. Everything but the dessert is a roll and the chef doesn’t tell you what it is until you are eating it. The flavor combinations were terrific and we loved every morsel. We had pork, tuna and wagyu beef in combination with a number of other veggies and fruits. Wine is included but again there’s no bottle selection as it’s served in carafes but was very drinkable. The sake was extra but well worth it. Place is very small and best idea is to get 8 people together and make it your adventure in eating outing. I’ve never been anywhere like this and I eat out all the time and travel frequently. Enjoy!

Trust me...your life is incomplete! You must dine here! This is far more than dinner, this is an experience! From the moment I emailed Frank and Nicky I knew this was the perfect choice for me and my husband’s 40th birthday celebration. All of their communication leading up to our celebration increased my anticipation. This past Friday was our celebration and the experience far exceeded our expectations. The experience was out of this world! The food was ABSOLUTELY amazing! The presentation of each dish. The creativity. The complexity of flavors... I could just go on and go! Every dish was thoughtfully prepared. The food was complimented by Nicky who has to be the best hostess ever. She is genuine, sweet and loves seeing everyone happy and having a good time. Not to mention she makes a great cocktail! Chef Frank is humble, fun and a food genius. Yes, a genius! There’s no menu. Chef prepares his dishes based on what’s currently fresh and then he gets creative from there. Nicky and Frank are so accommodating and eager to provide each guest with the perfect dinning experience. If you are in Miami, please love yourself enough to eat at HoFP. This is the only place that will take you on a food food journey that you will never forget! You are welcome!

Simply the best The.best.eating.experience.ever.

We have been to many top tier restaurants around the world, including Noma, and no restaurant touches HoFP. The atmosphere, food, service and experience are just unheard of in todays restaurant industry. From the initial text from Nicky to the last we felt like family.

The max seating is ten people and by the end of the meal you feel like you’ve known those people your entire life.

We did the eleven course meal and it was fantastic. Chef Franco is a culinary genius. After each roll he asks his guests what we think is in it, then shocks us all when we really find out. Just a 10/10 all the way around.

Definitely Uber because it isn’t in the best neighborhood plus drinks are flowing.

I really can’t wait to go back and I highly recommend you do as well. It won’t be long until the wait list to get in this place is months long. It’s that good.

Happily surprised with the entire evening The place is located in an up an coming are of Miami but dont get turned off by the outside, its the inside that counts and once you get in the place get ready for a fun and memorable experience. Husband/wife team are superb, the food is wonderful, different take on Sushi or Shushi as they like to call it. its a fusion between Asian/Sushi and Cuban/tropical flavors. Dont come expecting Michelin star type food, you are not paying those prices anyway. It is wonderful, tasty, delicious, you will enjoy the entire experience. The place is unique. this is a place to come with 2 or 3 friend couples..you will not be let down.

The restaurant only sits around 12 people so it's very intimate and personalized. We did the 5 course tasting menu. Everything served is basically bite sized concoctions of food meant to resemble a sushi roll but without the raw fish component. Very unique experience definitely worth checking it out!!!

A great and unique experience We visited this place already for the third time. This time we brought in all our friends from Toronto to celebrate our a birthday. Nicky, Natalie and chef made our experience truly unique and special. Food and service were exceptional! The words cannot describe how grateful we are and we highly recommend it to everyone!!!

The Best!! This was the best dining experience I’ve had in my life! I decided to book the 8 course tasting menu for my husband and myself. We left stuffed! I figured that if we were going to go, we were going to get the full experience.

Chef Franco is truly a talented individual! His creations are mind blowing and like a flavor explosion in your mouth. I’ve never experienced anything like the food he prepared for us. So so so delicious! I already want to go back!

Nicky has a very vibrant personality! She made us feel at home and like old friends from the moment she opened the door for us. Nicky and her helper ( sorry, I can’t recall her name) never let our water or wine glasses get less than half full. Definitely they best service I’ve ever experienced anywhere!!

The only negative is the location. But don’t let that keep you away.

Couldn't have been more perfect !! I secretly chose this place to celebrate with my fiancé after a surprise proposal while in Miami on vacation. One of the best choices I've ever made. I'd been in contact with Nicky over email and she was VERY happy to be in on this big conspiracy. Ha-ha. You'd think they were family she (Nicky) was so excited when we got there. Our seats were personalized and prepared perfectly to celebrate this very special occasion. The food was beyond amazing. Mind-blowing !! Was an experience we will never forget. Birthday dinner We had an amazing experience at The House of Food Porn. Nikki is the hostess and also an owner of the restaurant. She met us at the door after we were welcomed by “Superman” the door man. We were a party of 6 and Nikki greeted us all by name as if she had known us for years! We were celebrating 2 birthdays in our party and Nikki and her chef husband Frankie made sure the night was spectacular. The food was very, very good- uniquely prepared and it engaged all of our senses. The house wine flowed all night and we were surprised how good it was. Frankie and Nikki go out of their way to give you an amazing experience- it was unlike any restaurant we’ve ever been to. It was pricey but you definitely get what you pay for. Thank you Frankie and Nikki for a fabulous night. We’re still talking about the wonderful time we had. You’ve definitely made a memory for us!

Unique and Delicious My husband and I had the 6-course "Shushi" dinner. The whole experience was truly memorable! The chef has a concept for food in sushi-shaped format - but this is fully cooked, highly varied cuisine. Besides the quality of the food, it was a ton of fun to have just 8 others in the restaurant. This is a group experience with the chef Franco and the hostess Nikky directing the evening. Highly recommended!

A delicious journey for all your senses The House of Food Porn is a truly unique experience from beginning to end. We had the 8 course tasting and it was perfect. Chef Franco, Nicky and Natalia made our dinner seem like a dream. Each dish is a surprise to put in your mouth, enjoy and then guess and find out which ingredients and magic make your tasting buds travel around the world. The wine and drinks paired with the dishes are absolutely delightful.

The locale has a unique and unforgettable design. Nicky is the perfect host. And Chef Franco truly enjoys cooking and sharing his love for food with others. It is an absolute joy to see him prepare the dishes and Nicky and Natalia took care of all the small details that make a dining experience perfect. They even send you home with an after dinner gift so you know you did not imagine the whole experience in your dreams.

Food Porn is indeed the best way to describe this experience. Our dining mates were awesome, hailing from UK, the Dominican Republic and several parts of Florida. We will definitively be back for more…

Round 2 did not disappoint! My boyfriend and I visited HOFP last year for our anniversary and shared with our families. My brother and I decided we wanted to treat my dad to the experience for his birthday. He flew in from Chicago and we were so excited!

On his way home to get ready for dinner my brother unfortunately got in a car accident. Luckily he is okay thank goodness but waiting for the police and multiple tow trucks threw a wrench in our plans. I called Nicki and Chef Frank in such a frenzy because I know it is a menu and items created specifically for the number of guests each night.

They were so concerned about our family and knew how much it meant to us. I am so happy to report we were able to reschedule and it was well worth the wait. My brother changed his flight and we got to go on an evening when we could truly enjoy. The food is unreal and every time gets you surprised on the quality and art that goes into the creation. Chef Frank and the incredible food is only complimented by Nicki, her warm and contagious energy and the sincere care she gives to each guest. From setting up personally for you to making you feel right at home.

It is a really special experience with really special people.

My boyfriend also noted that the other guests that tend to be there are also so warm and engaging. In both experiences the group was intimate and the small group collective experience really adds to the atmosphere.

Sensational WOW WOW WOW! from the time you arrive and Nikki opens the front door with a red rose for my wife calling her by her first name until the last detail with the bill inside a cigar box, there is no time to think about anything negative but all positive full of Love and delicious delicious delicious food. I went for the first time to (House of food Porn) about a month ago. I must say I was blown away!!!!
I didnt know what to expect with the name Lol, but much to my surprise I was truly taken back with the level of professional service and quality of cuisine. Chef Frank and his wonderful assistant Nicky truly know how to make you feel at home and part of all the magic ShuShi has to offer. I had such an amazing time with his food and service I hired him for my Bday party and WOW!!! IT WAS AMAZING!!!! again the food was beyond on point and he service impeccable!!!!!

A food experience like no other! If you are an adventurous foodie who loves food as an experience this place is not to be missed. Do not be detoured by the price tag- its worth every penny! The service is impeccable and its so much more than just excellent food. Every night seats just 8 ppl at 7pm. I was simply blown away! 5 stars.

The Dining Experience You’ll Never Forget I made a reservation for me and my fiancé and I mentioned it was to celebrate her birthday. These guys took it and ran. They made us feel like the life of the party and it made the night so special. More than that, Chef Franco’s Shushi rolls are one of a kind. You won’t find food like this anywhere else, and he personally takes you on the journey through each course to make sense of what you’re eating. Amazing Date Night This place is so unique! I love the ambience and the shushi cooking class is great experience (not counting the fact that you get to eat AND take everything you make). Definitely a gear date night!

I actually had to join trip advisor tonight just to leave a review for this place. Frank and Nicky are the perfect team for a fantastic evening, the food is an eclectic mix of Cuban/Asian which may sound strange but my god Frank makes it work. Our evening started by being met by Nicky at the door and greeted by name, it was almost like we were old friends, she is a wonderful hostess and you are truly made to feel welcome and at home. Before we ate Frank gave us a brief history of his journey in the catering industry to this point. We had the 8 course menu and after each course we had a little explanation as to what was in the dish and the process behind it,( which was fab). There was only 6 of us in the restaurant for the 8.30 seating which made the experience feel much more like a ‘family meal’ than a night at a restaurant, we all chatted and laughed the evening away along with Nicky and Frank. If you get the chance and you’re a food lover this is a must visit. I will definitely be going back again, considering we live 4000 miles away that’s a fair recommendation!!
