A friend of mine kept mentioning about a new spot opened up in Little Haiti which had a crazy name. We finally found it online and gave it a shot last night. We came in at around 8 pm and it was pretty packed. The food was insanely good, I knew from the first bite that I was in for a good time. The prices disappointed me though, these guys serve simple comfort food so I really don't know why it's so expensive, must be all the hype they're getting.

The coolest experience! Chef Franco and Nicky treat you like royalty! My husband and I took our daughter and her boyfriend here for her 22nd birthday (I personally am a repeat customer and was so excited to share this little secret with my family). Chef Franco is beyond talented! Each one of his shushi courses are masterpieces. Be adventurous... I promise he doesn't throw anything weird at you and even if he did, you would still love it. And then there's Nicky... she makes the other half of the experience. She is genuinely warm and so much fun! She will keep your glass full of wine and treat you with other crafty cocktails. I don't want to give you every detail because you MUST experience this for yourself! I will say that they made my daughter feel beyond special on her birthday and everyone is now as obsessed with this place as I am!

The epitomy of fabulosity Truly have i never been to a restaurant such as this before.

It begin with driving up to see that warm inviting entrance on a rainy night and being welcomed by the ultra friendly Nikki our hostess for the evening. You get the feeling you are invited to someones home with no detail to small. The venue is small with an interesting kitch decor. Always finding something interesting to look at but yet you feel very select and special as you see your individual name cards and seats. A small crowd so hopefully you get to meet new and interesting people and we did.
Each course was a bite or two of savoury deliciousness with umami and spice explosions throughout. Each plate a small work of art. The conversation from chef and nikki most engaging as they try to keep you guessing the food you are eating. The excellent wine was free flowing punctuated with two interesting cocktails. You get snacks to consume and treats on the tables in between courses, culminating in our case with a dessert of choclatey goodness. Its definitely a passion for these people and i have never felt so welcome and so engaged at an eating establishment before. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone reading this review. A memory to last a very long long time.

Ok the restaurant is located not what you would call not the nicest area in Miami, however it is very much worth the trip. They have their own parking lot (free parking). Also I don't think you have to worry about safety just use the same common sense as anywhere else.

From the moment you enter the restaurant the amazing service and attention to detail commences. They knew our names and remembered everything I had written in the inspirational box you must fill when making the reservation. The place inside is very intimate, everyone has front view of the chef and the set up makes it very easy for guests to mingle and have fun together (or not if that's not your thing). The attention to detail again is unbelievable see pics attached!

Ok the food !!! It is not sushi it is shushi... Everything is cooked and there is no menu, the chef makes whatever insipires him that day. But just trust him, your senses will thank you!! He lets everyone taste the food, a little guessing from the guests and then a delicious description of what incredible piece of food you had just experienced!

Also included free flowing wine and I mean free flowing hahaha, Uber is a great idea!

Don't leave Miami without going here This will be the highlight of your time in Miami and if you live in Miami, show your friends the best time by taking them here. I didn't really know what I was going to get besides a unique experience and that's exactly what I got. You walk in and immediately feel like family and that is the culture and environment they want to cook up! There are approximately 15 seats, so it's a very intimate experience. Refreshing! I took my family for my parents anniversary.
The wine was great and perfectly combined with the food, which reminds me...DO NOT EAT LUNCH before you go here! We want to go back again on a fully empty stomach.
I hate mushrooms....like HATE and chef knew that and gave em to me anyway and they were amazing and I didn't even know I was eating them. Trust me...if I could have tasted them, I would have spit them in his face...seriously..that's how much I hate them. His talent spared his life!
Dinner was perfect in every way and we hated to leave, but like the food, we just rolled on out. We're still talking about it and I can't wait to get back to Miami to show off my new find.

A food experience like no other! If you are an adventurous foodie who loves food as an experience this place is not to be missed. Do not be detoured by the price tag- its worth every penny! The service is impeccable and its so much more than just excellent food. Every night seats just 8 ppl at 7pm. I was simply blown away! 5 stars.

I was IMPRESSED! OMG it was so nice and funny! Chef is 100% pro from culinary and hospitality point of view! Super friendly staff made us feel welcomed and appreciated! Definitely made my husband’s and mine evening! Very unique! Food is delicious and it was super exciting to eat chef’s creations! Amazing experience! One of the best dining experiences I have ever had. The owners are an absolute delight! They worked around my dietary restrictions with ease. Everything was delicious and it was just an incredibly wonderful and intimate experience. This is a must do for anyone in the area!

Stuff Your Face Inside an Epic Place This place is awesome!!! We were greeted like long time friends, and left feeling as family. The birthday decorations were extremely thoughtful! As the night continued, I became astonished by the smallest of details. As I was washing my hands, there was a brief moment when I was convinced the famous house red more than lived up to its reputation and I learned one thing… red toilet paper is a thing. Who knew? I could go on for days. Each unique dish paired with a complementing cocktail, served in an extravagantly eclectic glass; dazzled the visual senses as much as your taste buds. A dining experience I never knew I was missing out on. Highly recommend! Chauffeur, stay safe!

Unique, amazing and unforgettable. This is the kind of place that makes me hesitant to leave a review because part of me wants to keep HOFP my own little secret. However, the experience to which we were treated by Nikki, Luisa and Chef deserves a 10-star review. The entire evening, from the moment Nikki welcomed us at the door to the last bite of dessert, was magical. The food and the way it is presented is beyond description and is just something you have to experience for yourself. The attention to detail was unlike anything I've seen even in 5-star restaurants. In fact, HOFP isn't a restaurant at all. It's being invited for dinner at the home of some friends who sincerely want you to enjoy yourselves. That's s how we now consider our hosts and as is the case with friends, we can't wait to see them again.

Best Dining experience!!!!! I can't even describe this place as a restaurant. Woooowwww....what an incredible experience!!! Truly felt like visiting family, such an intimate environment and extra spectacular service. The food is like nothing I ever had tasted before. Chef Franco really has a talent to play with flavors. Nicky is the coolest hostess ever and the 2 girls (sorry I forgot their names) which they call their daughters are sooo sweet and attentive. I'm definitely going back for more and I hope the business stays very successful to continue making people happy for a very long time!!!!

What can I say about this place. The food, the ambience, and the service from the chef is superb. You have to have an open mind, if you want to eat your traditional food go some place else. If you want to try something especial that will questions your palate you want to come here.

Super intimate yet such a fun experience Chef Frank is absolutely Incredible and has built an amazing institution. We did the cooking class experience and it was the most fun yet super tasty night. I would highly recommend this to anyone, especially couples or small groups - and would absolutely come back! This is the best restaurant experience I’ve ever had! What an amazing experience! I can’t think of a better culinary evening. The food, the individualized care and attention, the showmanship and the intimacy were unique. There are no places like this out there. I would fly back to Miami just to dine here again. The rolls were authentic and the combination of flavors was simply genius. I loved the setup, it’s like being in a classy dream. The Chef’s storytelling and engagement as he described how he carefully designed each roll just for me was truly amazing. Nicky, on the other hand, diligently made sure nothing was amiss managing the whole experience while the artist created his masterpieces. I told my boyfriend that this was the best NYE dinner I’ve ever had; a truly beautiful unforgettable evening, filled with warm deliciousness and awesomeness. I know I won’t be able to fully express how I felt and still feel from this experience, but I’ll simply say that I felt touched, moved... it made me feel loved and very special.

Great finding and very different experience I made a reservation not knowing what to expect as it is not a traditional restaurant but, we like to try different things so I was very intrigued and WOW what a great experience. It is private dining, you have the place to yourself and the Chef and Nikki are there to make your experience wonderful and the food ……… what can I say, just amazing. Definitely worth going and I will go back for sure, great idea for a birthday party or special occasion or just a fun different night with friends, just loved it 😍

Gem in Miami!! This is a one of a kind restaurant with excellent service, ambience, and of course food! The chef’s sushi creations from the tasting menu are absolutely fabulous and the pace of the meal was perfect. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Miami. We did the 8 course meal and it was a good amount of food.

We were fortunate enough to hear about HoFP on Groupon. Let me tell you, Chef Franco is one-of-a kind. His restaurant is charming and very intimate with the dim lighting, candles and overall setup. We had a private dining experience and he made it one to never forget. Every dish was phenomenal and unique. Best of all he was very pleasurable! We recommended to several of our friends who have visited him and enjoyed the experience just as much. Definitely worth a visit, you won't be disappointed!

Words cannot express the amount of gratitude I have for Nicole and Chef. They squeezed a reservation in for me and made it exceptionally special. A unique, fantastic experience Wow. I would go back again and again. I honestly was slightly skeptical at first, as this isn't your typical high priced meal. I am so glad I read reviews and decided to take a chance on my only night in Miami. This intimate dining experience is well worth the money. The food is phenomenal, truly impressive what comes out of Chef Frank's mind and free flowing alcohol. The chef and his wife are great, kind people.

Dinner! Im from Miami and i can honestly tell you that there no other place like this one ,there’s not enough stars to rate this amazing place! The food and the service is incredible along with the incredible atmosphere! Will definitely come here again!

Date Night This was by far one of our best date nights. We had an amazing night. The friendly service made us feel like we were at an intimate dinner party. We felt like we were just enjoying dinner with family. The food was so delicious. I was skeptical since you're not given the opportunity to chose what you want to eat but that was the best part. Everything was delicious. My husband is a pescatarian and they were able to accommodate his dietary needs.
I will say that the restaurant isn't in the best location but once you're inside the outside world is non existent.
Frank & Nicky do an amazing job hosting their dinner party. We are definitely going back with friends.

The Best!! This was the best dining experience I’ve had in my life! I decided to book the 8 course tasting menu for my husband and myself. We left stuffed! I figured that if we were going to go, we were going to get the full experience.

Chef Franco is truly a talented individual! His creations are mind blowing and like a flavor explosion in your mouth. I’ve never experienced anything like the food he prepared for us. So so so delicious! I already want to go back!

Nicky has a very vibrant personality! She made us feel at home and like old friends from the moment she opened the door for us. Nicky and her helper ( sorry, I can’t recall her name) never let our water or wine glasses get less than half full. Definitely they best service I’ve ever experienced anywhere!!

The only negative is the location. But don’t let that keep you away.

The House of Food Porn! When we found Chef's Frank live cooking experience on Groupon, we just bought the voucher for a friend, mainly because our friend is a gourmet and the name sounded fun. We were 2 couples and gave it a try. Oh boy, we are hooked for the rest of our lives, the rolls were delicious and Chef Frank entertained us the whole evening! We had a blast and loved the omakase idea of having not a menu but the chef decides what you are going to taste that night. I pick out of all numerous fabulous rolls my favourite which was the one filled with black angus beef, capers and truffle. We enjoyed sitting at the bar and watching Chef Frank doing magic and rolling one fantastic roll after the other. For dessert we had a roll filled with guava paste, fresh cream cheese and chocolate chip cookie bits which tasted PHENOMENAL!!! Go and try this place, it is AWESOME!

What an experience! After 4 hours of searching for a place to surprise my husband with for his birthday, I finally decided to try out the House of Food Porn due to all the reviews. And let me tell you, they are not wrong! Besides my husband, I also had two friends tagging along and not one of them knew where dinner was until we got there. At first glance, the restaurant looked a little sketchy and the area looks even more so. However, after we parked, NIKKI the hostess greeted us at the door and also to let us in (the door is locked unless you have a reservation). She was warm and welcoming and the place itself was cozy. Chef Franco was a delight and his food was AMAZING. The only regret I had leaving the place was not having the 6 course meal because I had only reserved for the 3 course tasting. The food was so good I didn’t have enough. My husband and friends thoroughly enjoyed it and vowed that we will be back for the 6 course meal. It was quite an experience from beginning to end!

The world in the roll Where to start... this place is an underground spot hidden in Little Haiti. When you enter the ShuShi tasting room you feel what atmosphere the owners try to convey. Being in their "living room", Chef Franco Antonio spoils you with the finest fusion rolls from homemade creations from all over the world. It is a private dining experience with a lot of entertaining interaction with the Chef and his hostess. Where to end... we had an amazing time with lots of laughter, ate delicious rolls and had excellent wine! If you are an adventurous foodie and looking for a unique place, sth different, this is for you not to miss!!!

My wife and I had a beautiful and intimate dining experience at this cozy little restaurant where we enjoyed a unique 4-course shushi menu, where each course was a wonderful surprise paired with a spectacular red wine which we both really enjoyed! Amazing Experience! LOVE IT. I LOVE LOVE LOVE House of Food Porn. The name got us and I am glad we made reservations to try this place out. This place is so unique and the story behind it is amazing. This was a super intimate dinner experience for me and my girlfriends! We had the uber drop us off and it looked dark and looked like it was closed, but theres a doorbell there and we rang it. A beautiful woman name Nikki opens the door and welcomes us. We walk in and its super adorable, romantic inside. We walk in and its just beautifully decorated for our party. She was so welcoming, we felt so comfortable with her and then the Chef comes out and introduces himself. He told us his history and how he came u with House of Food Porn. The both of them made our experience so fun. I can't explain their menu because THERE IS NO SET MENU! The chefs creative mind creates his food on the spot so you never know what you're going to get. We ordered the 4 course and DAMN that made me super full on the third course. Some example ingredients he used for us: truffle, chicken, avocado, black rice, lobster, prosciutto, plantain ..... the experience was amazing, the chef and nikki were superb! They also gave us home made wine which was amazing and I normally don't like wine! That's gotta say something! Highly recommend this place for both a GREAT TIME AND GREAT FOOD!!!

My second time at House of Food Porn and enjoyed a totally new menu with the same flare and style as my first. Nikki's and Frank really make the difference, you feel as if you are dinning at a long time friend's home. Can't wait to return for round 3

Best “Shushi” Experience This was honestly one of the best sushi experiences ever. I come from a family of foodies, we have owned restaurants for almost 30 years and this was hands down a phenomenal experience. The couple, Nicky and Chef (or like I liked to call him Shushi Frank) were so welcoming into the restaurant. It was set up beautifully, romantic with rose petals, candles, great music. We were all their for not only a new experience but for the love of food.

8 courses, lots of wine and delicious dessert. I’d highly recommend this small business to everyone. The outside area could be questionable but I over looked that immediately as the inside was amazing. We will definitely be back!

OMG this place is amazingggggggg!!! We found the House of Food Porn accidentally in Little Haiti because we wanted to try something new. Being a foodie I was curious about the name, so I made a reservation for a private shushi (YES THIS IS THE NAME!) tasting. What a culinary dream adventure, my friends loved the unique concept of stuffing sushi rolls with cooked home made food of all countries in the world. We tried the German, French, Swedish, Caribbean, Vegan, Cuban roll and had mini chocolate lava cakes with vanilla ice cream for dessert, so so so super yummie!! Chef Frank made us feel welcome & home in his kitchen, it was a great experience and next time we will for sure order his catering for our anniversary!!!

Highlight of Miami Absolutely the best dining experience our group has ever had! In town for Cosmetic Surgery Conference and this experience was the highlight of our time in Miami! From the moment we walked in the door, Nicki and Chef Franco were personable and attentive to every detail. The food was amazing, creative, and beautifully presented! Amazingly unique experience! This restaurant is an amazing, one of a kind experience. The couple who run it are genuinely nice and do everything they can to make sure you have a great time. I had an awesome night with my family and learned how to make awesome fusion “shushi” rolls. We all had an extremely fun time and would 100% come back. The chef is also extremely knowledgeable about sushi and isn’t afraid to tell you how to make your perfect sushi roll. Way better than any restaurant you would normally go to, and you leave with a great experience and sushi kit!
